I offer maths tuition in Woburn Sands, Milton Keynes, to students who are preparing for their GCSE maths, generally in years 9, 10 or 11.
I also occasionally take younger students from the summer before they enter year 7.
Most of the students who come to me are studying for higher level GCSE maths.
To make a difference for any child who is struggling it is best to begin support by year 10 at the very latest, but especially so if they are working at foundation level.
My background is in physics, which I read at Oxford from 1971 to 74, computing, and systems thinking. I taught as a full time member of staff at the Open University, in various roles, over a period of more than twenty years, and have now been tutoring GCSE maths for over ten years.
